Designed for those in high-risk environments, such as construction sites, manufacturing plants, and remote or wild-life areas. It's also essential for individuals responsible for the safety and well-being of large groups of people.

Basic Fire Fighting

Fire Marshal

This basic fire fighting course equips employees with the skills to prevent, identify, and safely extinguish fires using basic fire-fighting equipment. The course is practical and hands-on, supported by essential theory on fire behaviour, prevention, and evacuation procedures. Participants learn to assess fire situations, select the correct equipment, respond safely, and report incidents appropriately.

BLS for Healthcare Professionals

This course is intended for healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, medical technicians, therapists, medical and nursing students, and other allied health personnel. It is also suitable for anyone required to complete a Healthcare Provider course for employment purposes.

BLS - HeartCode

HeartCode blended learning from the American Heart Association offers flexible, high-quality resuscitation training. The course combines self-paced online learning with hands-on CPR skills practice. Participants complete the online portion in their own time, then attend an in-person skills session including their assessments with an AHA Instructor.

CPR for Everyone

The CPR for Everyone course teaches lay rescuers how to perform CPR and manage choking in adults, children, and infants, as well as how to use an AED. It is ideal for workplace responders such as security personnel, law enforcement, lifeguards, coaches, fitness staff, and corporate or retail employees. The course includes hands-on skills practice, a full-colour manual, and assessment through a short written test and practical skills evaluations. Successful participants receive a numbered Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa Certificate of Competence.

First aid essentials for caregivers

The First Aid Essentials for Children course is designed for anyone responsible for a child’s care, including parents, caregivers, guardians, and domestic workers. It provides hands-on training in child-specific first aid, covering accident prevention, medical and trauma emergencies, CPR, choking, and AED use. Participants receive a student workbook and a Certificate of Attendance on completion.

Mini Medics

A fun and engaging first aid course designed specifically for learners aged 7 to 13. The course aims to build confidence, awareness, and a sense of responsibility in young learners, empowering them to act in critical situations.

Old SETA-based first aid courses

  • Accredited through SETAs (e.g., HWSETA) via unit standards.

  • Flexible, often shorter, less standardised content.

  • Certificates issued by the provider, recognised for workplace compliance.

New QCTO first aid courses

  • Accredited by QCTO as formal Skills Programmes.

  • Structured with theory, practical skills, and a Final Integrated Summative Assessment (FISA).

  • Longer, more standardised, nationally recognised certificates.

  • Stronger alignment with workplace needs; old SETA certificates are being phased out.

Certification validity depends on the course selected. Fire Fighting, BLS, and CPR courses are accredited and valid for 2 years. All First Aid courses are accredited, industry-aligned, and valid for 3 years. Attendance-only certificates are also available for selected courses.

Participants gain hands-on practical experience throughout the course, ensuring confidence in real-life emergency situations.

Most courses are open to beginners with no prior knowledge. Certain courses have minimum age requirements, and advanced-level courses may require successful completion of a basic course.

Payment may be made via EFT or online platforms. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking. The outstanding balance must be settled no later than 48 hours prior to course commencement. Special payment arrangements may be considered on request.
